Are we facing an era of peace or war? Will future technologies make us happier or try to kill us? Will climate apocalypse threaten our existence or will we enjoy an environment free of ubiquitous toxins contaminating our water, air and food? Will we live in a world full of inspiring and creative jobs, or a world without work, full of people looking for any occupation, just trying to survive? Will we free ourselves from the diseases that have plagued us to date, or will we suffer merciless epidemics of biblical proportions? These are the questions – alongside others of equal importance – that participants at the World Economic Forum in Davos will probably be asking themselves. And they will try to answer them, which is far more difficult. In this case, as in all others, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna tirelessly accompanies entrepreneurs, managers, specialists in various fields and decision-makers – also during the WEF. And with respect to the list of fundamental questions that are weigh ing on the economic world, politicians and the public – I think that humanity is truly, not just metaphysically, but literally suspended between annihilation and utopia: between fearing the worst and believing in dreams of global prosperity. The only open question is what fate will bring and what choices we make ourselves along the way. © ℗
